Boris Karloff was best known for his roles playing this notorious monster in these horror films create during the 1930’s. However, the actor, known by his stage name Boris Karloff, but actually named William Henry Pratt, had starred in Eighty films prior to playing his most famous part. But once he found this role, he shot to fame and stardom and by the beginning of his next two Frankenstein movies (sequels to the first), he was being chased by a following of fans for his autograph. But, Boris enjoyed his work and took to various roles and parts in British film and theatre. Karloff also did work on the radio, featuring in a popular children’s radio show in 1950. He even received a Grammy award for his work as an entertainer for children.
